Persatuan Rugby Union Indonesia (PRUI) has today announced a provisional squad of 52 players that will participate in a Final Indonesian National Rugby Team Trial to be played at the Jakarta International School (JIS) on Saturday May 24, 2014. This match will start at 1:30pm and will be refereed by Tony Dickinson. On the sidelines watching proceedings will be Indonesian National Coach, Simon Jones and Assistant Coach, Nick Mesritz.
Following this match a squad of 26 players will be selected to tour Vientiane, Lao on May 28 until June 2, to play in the 2014 Asian 5 Nations Division 3 East Tournament. Indonesia will play China on Thursday May 29 and then either Guam or Lao in its second match on Saturday May 31.
In its last international match played on June 7, 2013, Indonesia defeated China 37-13 at the 2013 HSBC A5N Div 3 Tournament, played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
